Well I must say that doing my first ever DJ set as DJs Lethal Infection was freaking sweet! Felt amazing to actually get up on stage and rock the hell out playing some electro and dubstep and top 40 fusion. It’s funny…. after experiencing the thrill of performing for the first time I must say that this is what PD17 was meant to do.
So now that I’ve got these three separate projects going all at the same time let me try to lay it all out for you.
Bullet of Reason is alive and well. This will be the project focused on the electronic rock aspect I always wanted to get out but never really suited PD17 overall. I will hopefully be performing Bullet of Reason live as an actual performance….. somehow. Those details are still being fleshed out, but it will happen……..
DJs Lethal Infection will be a DJ collaboration with my boy TKO. When we perform together as a DJ set, we will be known as DJs Lethal Infection. If he goes and does a solo performance it will be his persona and when I go for a solo DJ set, it will be DJ PD17.
Which now leads me into the obvious… Platinum Dragon17. This name has been with me since the start of my musical career (if you want to call it career). It has always been a part of me and it would be extremely hard for me to kill it off. I’ve always felt a great connection with this persona but never really had a clear vision of what I wanted it to become. If you have listened to any of the PD17 albums, you’d probably be able to come to that conclusion yourself. Which is why I stepped away from it for awhile to give it some thought. After much consideration, I decided to keep it alive. I’ve always liked dance music, as well as many other forms of music. Bullet of Reason came along at a time where I just needed to unleash some serious hell that Platinum Dragon17 just couldn’t handle. Since I’ve learned a few things on the way for Bullet of Reason, I feel like I’ve got a clear path on what I want to do with that project. And during that time I came to the realization that I really want to try DJing out; and what better persona to do that but PD17? After the last album, I really felt like I said all that I needed to say for PD17, but I really wanted to try doing some remixes of mainstream music as well as taking it all to the dancefloor. Thus, DJ PD17 was born. Luckily my connection with DJs Lethal Infection has helped drive this passion even more.
So I expect to be extremely busy in the coming months. But now that I know what I want to do with all of it, I feel like now I can finally enjoy it.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is only the beginning of MANY things to come.
